This handcrafted bi-fold wallet is made from Buttero leather by the renowned Conceria Walpier tannery in Tuscany. Buttero is a smooth, matte, 100% vegetable-tanned leather valued for its clean finish and excellent ageing properties, and is used by respected makers worldwide. Shown here in the natural biscuit colour, it will darken gradually with use, developing a rich tan patina over time.
The design offers generous card storage while remaining slim in the pocket. There are four primary card slots, each capable of holding a couple of cards from new and gradually easing with use. Behind these sits a full-height pocket suitable for additional cards or folded banknotes, as shown. Lighter-weight leather is used on the interior to reduce bulk, and the wallet is stitched by hand using the traditional saddle stitch with natural Vinymo thread from Japan.
